Who I Am

I have been involved in the fitness industry my whole life having growing up around collegiate athletic programs with my father’s job, playing division 1 collegiate golf at Austin Peay State University, learning how to lift from champion olympic weightlifters and extremely qualified strength and conditioning coaches, and finding my passion for weight training and helping others. It was just a natural fit becoming a personal trainer too! I received my ACE Personal Trainer certification in 2019 and worked for Anytime Fitness in Iowa City, IA. I then moved to Chattanooga, TN in 2020 and worked for the Sportsbarn and earned my ACE Health Coach certification. Since then I have worked as a health coach and personal trainer at Anytime Fitness in Findlay, OH until September of 2021. Then in October of 2021, I started my own small coaching business, Anna Ferrero Fitness!

I have hashimoto's thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, granuloma annulare, struggled with hormonal imbalances, ADHD, remission BED, and focus on improving my mental health as well as my physical health. With so many things going on out of my control it was easy to get down about things but it has made me grow and learn along the way! I am so grateful for what I have been through because that has allowed me to learn and help others through the same issues I have been through!

My passion and expertise in personal training allows me to be a hands on and empathetic coach. I take my time to teach correct lifting techniques and make sure every client masters each technique before we move on to learn other exercises. My goal in the gym is not only to help others build better lives for themselves through fitness, but to the gain the confidence and independence in the gym that ensures they will succeed long term.

I work hard and take my time to develop plans that work for each individual that comes to me. We build foundations in training and confidence in the gym first then progress to different challenges as each client progresses. I have found this keeps people committed and allows people independence from a trainer when they come in the gym by themselves as well which is the ultimate goal.

My favorite style of training is definitely a slower/medium-paced style of heavy weightlifting but everything is highly individual and what works for some doesn’t always work for others. I specialize in women's weightlifting, clients with ADHD, those with thyroid and hormonal issues, and orthopedic exercise. I have worked with over 90 different clients over the past 3 years learning from them and multiple trainers who I have worked with personally and professionally in order to learn and grow as a coach.

I have experience working with all types of people: military veterans, 70 year olds preparing for knee surgery, beginners to experienced lifters, those with ADHD, chronic illnesses, thyroid issues, PCOS, and other hormonal issues, college athletes, actors, clients wanting to work on pain elimination, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, posture, balance, mobility, weight loss, endurance training, strength training, and so much more. All of these clients had different goals and preferences and we worked together to create a plan that would get them to their goals and they would enjoy as well.

My favorite exercises are all definitely classic weight training compound movements that strengthen the body and improve mobility like squats, bench press, and deadlifts. But if I am working out, my favorite exercise to do is deadlift! I work with all types of people but my favorite stories always involve helping someone achieve pain management or in some cases elimination with exercise. Exercise really can change your life and it is great to help someone live life to their fullest. I would love to meet with you and learn about your goals and accomplishments as well!
